TOM OLIVER |
Tom Oliver brings over 20 years of extensive executive level
experience to the Funk Ventures advisory board. Early in his career,
Mr. Oliver served as President of
Artco-Bell, a Texas
furniture manufacturing company, as well as Vice President of
internationally-known
Dole Food Company. He also
held various executive management positions with companies such as
Nabisco, Arnold Food Company and General Foods.
More recently, Mr. Oliver served as Vice President of wellness
company
PowerBar, where he
successfully sold the company to
Nestle SA before joining
medical device company
Cool Systems as Chief Executive Officer.
At Cool Systems, Mr. Oliver just recently released the company's
medical device, GameReady, which cuts recovery and rehabilitation
time for injuries of any kind in half using a patented technology
originally developed for NASA spacesuits.
Mr. Oliver is a graduate of the Stanford Executive Program and
received his MBA in Marketing and Finance from the University of
Delaware. He also holds a MS degree in Personnel, Counseling, and
Guidance from Troy State University and a BS in Mechanical
Engineering from the US Air Force Academy. Mr. Oliver was an
instructor pilot in the US Air Force for nine years while flying
both supersonic jets and propeller combat aircraft.
