Founded by Funk Ventures CEO and Chairman
Andy
J. Funk in 1995, Microdyme grew to be a leading online advertising and design
agency. Well known for its inventions such as Onlinemercials™, Microdyme provided creative, marketing and advertising services to clients such
as America Online, General Motors and MSNBC.
Through its strong team and its vision, Microdyme became a pioneer of the new
economy and helped transform the Internet from stale to a fully-interactive
environment. Microdyme's strategy was to provide fresh interactivity backed
by solid development to create an environment that would increase corporate
profits while improving user-friendliness through animation, voice and sound.
In July 2000, after over 5 years on the cutting-edge of the .com boom, Microdyme
was acquired by
Softbank Venture Capital
portfolio company iBoost Technology.
